Grades Rumble!

Most law school experiences I've had so far have been really anticlimactic, just didn't live up to their billing. However, the unveiling of 1L grades definitely met the billing. The school started by not just telling us when they were coming out, but letting rumors fester. About 1 hour before the release time was to come a professor emailed us with the breaking news, and then, Friday at 5Pm, we had them. Just in time for admin to be out the door and away from hysterical 1Ls. After hitting refresh about 10 times on my laptop, I saw the light! 3.393 GPA...ok i guess.
B in contracts (kids, this is what happens when you don't study)
B in Criminal Law (kids, this is what happens when you don't like a class AND don't study)
B- in Property (kids, this is the fun phenomena known as 'seeing your worst grade posted by the exam you thought was the easiest!')
B+ in Torts. nuff said.
A in Civil Procedure. I answered 'c' for the last 30 questions. Seemed to work alright.
A in Legal Writing. The goddess of fortune smiled upon me and boosted my GPA; I shall attempt to recompense in kind.

Advice to kids? a) don't get in the hospital during finals time, b) study everything and know it well and c) if you take Dorsaneo's CivPro final and don't know the answer (which will happen frequently), just always answer with 1 letter. I chose C, figured that I didn't know any of them so by guessing C I'd get at least 5 right. And now...I do it all again.
